Many of you have asked why I wanted to write a book about women. The journey started four years ago today. Although, I didn’t realize it at the time.
Four years ago today, my father passed away. As you can imagine, it was a very difficult time for all of us who loved him.
Close to 300 people came to pay their respects at his celebration of life. Friends from every decade of his life and family were present. My sister had a lot of girlfriends that showed up that day. I noticed that I didn’t have many at all.
That day was a wake up call for me. I recognized that I had put a lot of my women friendships on the back burner. I had been in survival mode as a mom of twins who was also trying to balance a demanding career. I realized how much I missed my friends and that they held a special place in my heart. I was thirsty for more women in my life.
From that day forward, I vowed to myself to make new women friends and reconnect with old ones. I am happy to say I have surrounded myself with brilliant, strong, loving, funny, fierce, bold, and authentic women friends.
You have inspired me. You are the reason for the book!
Love you all😘❤️🔥💃🏼🧘🏼♂️🌞😈🥂
